There is an awful lot of chatter contemporarily about work/life balance. Mostly, this is a lie perpetuated by a sick world. Yes, there is a compartmentalization between our butchery floor's and our living rooms. But no, or more accurately, FUCK NO, to our societally present implementation. The way the many use it this phrase is as an excuse to justify duplicity. And at worst, which is sadly the most common form I see it in, as an outright Evil. Humans must police each other's identities socially or Demons will breed freely within the hearts and souls of the shadows our lies create. Our work, and our life, cannot, and should not, be separated. We are what we do. Just because the majority wishes to continue on with their marching into hell, doesn't mean we need accept it or their slogans.
